Hope and Greenwood brings back Saturday mornings from my childhood. Now my daughter and her friends go there to choose their own pocket money sweets - and her parents have a treat for Saturday after dinner!

This is a gem of a shop for all of us born before 1980! They even import clove rock from Ireland - ahh the childhood memories! A visit at least once is a must and now they've got an outlet in Covent Garden there's no excuse to stock up on all your favourite goodies!!

An amazing shop - worht a special trip just to see the kids faces. Everything you could ever want from chocolate squirells to sherbet dabs. There's lots of great seasonal stuff so check it out at Easter Halloween e.t.c. for amazing sweets you just won't find anywhere else.

Hope and Greenwood provide a dreamy, delicious, skip down memory lane. Their fizzy cola bottles got my boyfriend through his London Marathon training.

Have you seen the film Chocolat? I guarantee one morning you'll find me sprawled in their window gorged on their champagne truffles.

Hope and Greenwood are truly unique. I love the service, please and thank you, a rare thing. The chocolates are fantastic, not at all high brow or stuffy. Try the Lemon meringue pie chocolate bar, Chilli and Lime truffles, sea salt chocolate buttons and their fab organic ice cream, butterscotch is my favourite.

I have just visited H&G for the first time and I was totally amazed, what a treat! It was like going back to my childhood - all of my favourite sweets and so much more. The individual chocolates are wonderful and the unique blocks of choc (inc. Treacle Tart, Jam Roly Poly, Rhubarb Crumble) are just to die for. From the music, to the layout, to the friendly and helpful service, it's a wonderful experience. This little shop is a truly nostalgic treasure.

What a brilliant shop! It's just like stepping back into the 60's but with all the choice of the present day. Glass jars of old favourites line the shelves rubbing shoulders with the likes of Prestat and Rococo (feel free to correct my spelling). Hope & Greenwood also make their own chocolates in a wide range of flavours (chili, violet, earl grey etc) and sell slabs of chocolate flavoured with orange peel and sea salt (tastes much better than you might first thing). And for kids of all ages there are Fredo Frogs, Curly Wurly's and sherbet fountains. Concerned parents can even purchase ration cards to control their kids intake. (you may have guessed, I like sweets!)
