The Otterburn family are former dairy farmers who diversified into ice cream. Today they have a shop, a café and an expanding roster of exotically flavoured ice creams. There's vanilla, chocolate, rum and raisin - so far so familiar - but what about gin and lavender, Christmas pudding, strawberry cheesecake, brown bread and even bubble gum. If that wasn?t indulgent enough they also make gorgeous chocolates: champagne truffles, violet creams and more esoteric rhubarb, wild strawberry and chilli. You can order chocolate owls, chocolate cows and for the well heeled, chocolate shoes - an elegant Oxford brogue or a sexy stilleto with white chocolate spots.
