Lewis & Cooper

Selling: Cheese / Dairy, Drinks, Meats, Fruit & Veg

There aren't many traditional grocery shops left anymore, but Lewis & Cooper has survived, a genuine family institution, trading in its own quirky, charming, extraordinary style since 1899. In fact, neither grocery shop nor deli begins to describe this packed emporium with its 25,000 different lines from vanilla pods to vintage port, from cheeses to plum pudding. If it's not in stock they will get it for you.

I live in Manchester and thought we had everything until I visited Lewis and Coopers. It is the best deli I have ever shopped in. Please open one in Manchester ... your Violet cremes are the finest I have had. Adena Santana-scarlett

Lewis & Cooper is the emporium of the North, they sell everything i cannot find in the local supermarkets and if the product isnt on their shelves, the staff always strive to help you. The Customer service is very good, and the treat you like a person rather than a pain! as i have experienced in my local supermarkets. Well worth a visit!!!! or why not try there website as that is very good. www.lewisandcooper.co.uk

Lewis and Cooper's is a unique shop and invites a good browse. It is reasonably priced, and you can guarantee to find anything here which you can't find in an ordinary supermarket.

It is very rare I don't find what I am looking for here, the quality is excellent and I don't know how they manage to fit it all under one roof.

Best shop in the world. If you want it, they've got it. It's still very traditional and the staff treat you as a person not just a customer and are always very friendly. The handmade plum puddings and fruit cakes are scrummy and you can also get your wensleydale & wine to go with them. The shop itself seems to go on forever so its nice to take a break in their tearooms (best scones i've ever tasted) I hope they'll be around for another hundred years.

This shop is by far the greatest in the region. Even when living in Kent I use to look forward to popping in and spending ages browsing the feast of foods on offer. From many local meats and cheeses through to Soups jams and much more. If you want a five start lifestyle then you should be shopping here. A big thumbs up to this family run business in glorious Yorkshire!
