They supply not only the lucky locals but the region's top restaurants. A growing deli counter supplies prepared dishes: pates, pies, cooked meats, summer and bread and butter puddings. View all reviews (5)There are butchers where you can buy meat and there are butchers that know about meat, its care, preparation and sale as well as sourcing only the best. Radfords is in the latter category and well worth the effort of going out of your way to Sleights to buy with confidence. Their pies and other downstream products are equally delicious and worthy of comment.
There are butchers shops that sell ordinary meat and there are butchers shops that know all about meat and how it should be prepared and sold - Radfords is one of the latter and well worth the trip to buy with confidence - their meat is always of the highest quality - thier meat pies and other downstream products are equally delicious
have been purchasing my meat from Radfords for approx. 3 years. The quality is excellent, service is second to none, plenty of great advise on how to cook the meats. I will no longer purchase from supermarkets and travel in excess of 100 miles to collect. Their sausages are excellent, especially the beef and caramelised onion. Fantastic delicatessen counter, based in a beautiful area, a joy to visit the shop alone just to see how a well prepared butchers should be. A pure taste of yorkshire quality.
