Bill's Produce Store

Bakery / Patisserie Restaurant Delicatessen

Selling: Bread / Bakery

After running a greengrocers for 20 years, Bill Collison launched Bill's Produce Store in 2001, followed more recently by a second site at an old bus depot on North Road, Brighton. Both stores stock a breathtaking range of fresh produce, sourced both locally and internationally, as well as herbs, groceries, fresh flowers and plants. The funky café has gained rave reviews in the national press.

I wouldn't classify Bill's as a "local" hero as much of his produce comes from Holland.

All the staff work as a team and where most eating place staff avoid eye contact ALL staff at Bill's maintain eye contact and are always willing to help. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere always great. They make a mean bloody mary as well. Thanks Bill's for a unique eating experience and fantastic flavours and textures in all your food. I shall return Carol Williams

Fantastic grocers/fruit & veg store (only 100 times better than those names imply) that just happens to have a world-class cafe attached. Apart from Blackstones Kitchen in Bath, the best non-restaurant food I've eaten in England. & just like Blackstones, the people running the place are lovely.

Fabulous - sets a new benchmark for how cafes and/or grocery stores should be. If only there were more places like this. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, wonderful produce (displayed beautifully) and DELICIOUS food - generous portions bursting with freshness, colour and taste. Worth travelling to Brighton for alone.

Bill's is a unique cafe/market stall type store, which is very rustic and gives a fabulous foody environment to socialise and enjoy good food with other foody people.
Bill's offers a wonderful shopping and eating environment, incorporating a cafe, fresh and organic fruit and vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, groceries, hampers, and an outside catering and delivery service all under one roof.
Bill's is keen to support local farmers and small holdings and is committed to offering a variety of locally grown fruit and vegetables. To complement this local supply, they also stock some of the finest ingredients that are sourced from all over the world.
I would definitely recommend a visit next time you are by the seaside!

Fresh produce and fresh thinking. Bill's makes scrambled eggs on toast a special meal, not to mention it's one of the few places you can order egg & soliders. Blinding.
