Rich is one of the most dedicated producers/growers/salesmen/innovators/retailers/stockists/demonstrators you could meet. He oozes chillis, in a good way. His chilli beer is marvellous, his chilli cheese and condiments even more so. If a product is not good enough...he doesnt sell it and sources or makes a better one. He is also one of the only consistent suppliers of Pimientos De Padron in this country as he rows his own...in Chorley!! He is always willing to spend time talking to food enthusiasts and spreading the word of the chilli.

Can I just say that I love Chilli's produce, it is of an exceptionally high standard and the Jalepeno Cheddar Cheese is just out of this world. And he is such a nice bloke to talk to as well, he is without doubt the King Of Chilli's

I absolutely love chillis and Chilli Rich is a top dealer. Bought stuff off Rich on a couple of occasions (most recently on Sunday in Preston) and the goods are always top quality. Long may the Chilli King reign! Ian

Its very hard trying to review yourself with out sounding conceited or pompous so here goes…. One of my favourite pieces of advice to would be entrepreneurs when I talk about the luck I’ve had with my business evolving out of my love of chillies is simply: “be careful what you wish for – you might just get it!” How did I end up here - as a chilli grower? The world, and life moves so fast these days. So, I purposely make time to clear my mind and organise my thoughts. I was walking in the hills, near where I live, and kind of had a little epiphany one day, and I came home, sat down and started writing. I have so many ideas that I just have to get them onto paper or they can get lost.….and with a little help from my friends (and they are friends you see, that’s all part of the plan) my hobby turned into something a little more potent, and I’ve ended up in a place I like very much, and for that I am truly grateful, so ….. Welcome to Little Green Men.

I just met Chilli Rich yesterday at an event he was covering at my work place in Bradford W Yorkshire. He had a stall with and some of the brilliantly inspired produce; loads things to try and some totally brand new ideas. I have to say from meeting him; he doing a fantastic job, creating and marketing ideas and generating new ones every time. (He’s a bit of a cutie too!!) He is a charming fella with all the time in the world for you. We discussed food, ideas, recipes, books, his history and all things chilli. His ideas are fantastic, his devotion to "getting it out there" is remarkable and his dedication to the belief in his produce is truly admirable He has the drive to win something like this and generate education, expansion and more brilliant ideas to making his produce accessible to all – including those who are a bit chilli shy. Good luck.

The history of the Little Green Chilli Man stems from a chilli growing hobby which got ever so slightly out of control! Rich has a fantastic character and is living his dream, and that love and enjoyment shines through and is reflected in his many appearances on TV and Radio – culminating in his own Chilli Cooking DVD. Rich is always experimenting adding chillies to a whole range of foods, and has a gift for building relationships and working with small local specialist producers in Lancashire and thereabouts, and has created a range including beer, chocolate, jam, cheese and much more! His Chilli Beer and Chilli Cheese are to die for, and he has been tested and positively reviewed by everyone that matters in the UK chilli industry, his products have even been requested by the F-Word, and he appeared in the Final at Claridges. His website tells how this self-styled Chilli Man has been growing chillies for over a decade. Chilli Rich couldn’t find the chillies he wanted to cook with in the 1990’s so he grew some from seeds he found, and never looked back, and this year Little Green Men has become the country’s biggest commercial hydroponic chilli grower. He’s famous for his BIG Pan, which travels with him wherever he goes…. “I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and new ways of being creative with my chillies. I now grow many different varieties – and things are certainly hotting up with appearances on TV and Radio, in newspapers and magazines, public speaking and demonstrations at events.” review this place now 1
