Not only are all the butchers here friendly and cheerful, they are also knowledgeable, always ready with advice on how to cook or prepare meat or on which cut to use for a recipe. They also stock a wide range of farm produce and organic foods.

If you want to enjoy 'real' meat with flavour, fresh organic vegetables and other dairy produce, if you wish to receive excellent courteous service and helpful advice you cannot do better than visit Ellis Fine Foods.

Have not shopped in a butchers for nearly 20 years, the animity of picking up a pre wrapped joint etc in the supermarket meant not having to make a fool of my self! Recently fed up with their shoddy offerings I ventured into Ellis my local butchers, found the staff wonderfully friendly and helpful, the produce of which there is a wide variety tastes is not that much more expensive and tastes fantastic and meal times are more of a pleasure and am now a supermarket convert. I have recommended Ellis to family and friends and would urge all to visit and sample their wares! Tesco beware!!!!!

Over the last few years it has become more and more important to me (and others) to purchase local free range organic meat and vegetables. Ellis has responded by supplying exactly that. Their produce is of a far superior quality to anything that I can find in the supermarket and the lads cheerful service makes the whole shopping 'experience' really pleasant. We're very lucky to still have such a good local butchers - so many high streets have lost theirs.

Long live the local good butcher! I have shopped here for over 10 years - an evolving business that constantly meets the demands of his customers with good quality food. Good luck

Ellis is fab! Its food is first class and the service is brilliant. I moved to the area a year ago and was recommended it by so many locals and it has lived up to the great reviews.

Outstanding service and quality. I regularly ask Lou for advice when hosting dinner parties, nothing is too much trouble. Christmas wouldn't be the same without a turkey from Ellis. It is so reassuring to buy quality food with expert knowledge and advice.

I moved last year so now do not live locally to Ellis's, but as their produce is excellent I still shop there every week, as I have done so for over twenty years. Their products, as far as I'm concerned cannot be beaten, for taste & value for money.
