Description
The Mitchell Family have farmed at Stock Nook Farm since 1939 and has been under its current ownership since 1969. The owners, John and Brenda Mitchell have a life time of farming experience and are keen to use traditional farming methods in order to produce quality pork and beef products at reasonable prices. All of the produce is sourced from their farm and is cut and prepared at their onsite butchery service, thus insuring full traceability. Particular favourites with customers include the caramelised onion and cracked black pepper beef burgers, the barbeque wraps and the Christmas packs. The pork and beef products are available through placing an order via email or telephone or visiting their stall at Rossendale Farmers Market on the first Sunday of every month.

Stock Nook provides excellent food, excellent value, superb service from the farm shop, from the home delivery to the monthly farmers market, reliability what more could a customer want. Well worth a 6 mile trip to the country.

I have been coming to this farm for two years now. The quality and taste of the meat is out of this world and no other outlet has even come close in my eyes. Apart from the extremely tasty meat being a reason why I always buy from here, the friendly people who own the farm put the cherry on top. They are friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Brenda's newsletters always cheer me up and make me laugh. I cannot think of anywhere else I would most like to win this award. Rightly so they deserve it 100% Sarah

I have been a customer for some years now. The produce is excellent, as too is the service. The prices are very competitive and I feel I certainly get value for money and would highly recommend any one to try their produce. If they don't enjoy it, they have gone to the wrong butchers. We have been buying our meat here since they opened and are thoroughly satisfied with all we have bought. They are such lovely people - it is a pleasure to visit the shop.

I cannot recommend Stock Nook Farm enough. I recently asked about some lamb as I had seen it in the farm shop one time. I was told that it would be a couple of months before they would have it in as the lamb they sold was from their brother who owns another farm. I know that they have their own pigs and cows so all the food that I am buying is traceable. When the sows have piglets it is fantastic for the kids to see them feeding etc, just can't get them away! Most of the time I don't actually go to the farm myself but order it over the phone and have it delivered - free of charge. You can't beat that! Good quality meat and you don't even need to go out of the house to get it. Another thing that makes Stock Nook Farm special is the staff. I think that all the staff are actually family. It is nice to have a traditional, family business. When you do go in the shop Brenda, John and Jack often know what you want before you even order it, traditional, quality service. As I first stated, I cannot recommend Stock Nook Farm enough. You would have to go a long way to get better service and even further to get better meat.

I have been getting the pork ribs from the farm for a few years now and have always had wonderful meat. The staff are always very helpful and the delivery service is excellent. Keep up the good work.

The customer service is second to none, brenda, john, and jack make you feel welcome. The products that they sell are exceptional, i find that the meat just melts in you mouth, i can not praise them and there products enough, keep up the good work and good luck.

Stock Nook Farm is quite simply the best! All the meat is so fresh and and very tasty, we wont buy our pork or beef from anywhere else. Brenda and John always have a smile for everyone and the service is brilliant. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Please vote Stock Nook to Win. Jules & Graham

We have bought our meat here from the beginning filling endless barbies and bacon sarnies. Our daughter is probably the youngest customer to the shop at 3 days old. Now 2 and a half she loves the sausages, bacon, pork and beef. We would not buy meat anywhre else and the service from the family on the phone, at the farm and on the doorstep is part of the joy of buying good stuff locally

Well!!!! What can we say-what a fantastic gem.Really fresh succulent meat,great sausages and always a warm friendly greeting with sound advice available.Brenda,John and also Jack you should win this "Trotters Down"!!!! review this place now
