Description
The traditional black and white inn stands in a very remote but truly idyllic bay overlooking Skye. It's a location to fall in love with and if the weather's fine, take in the award-winning view from the beer garden. Otherwise huddle around the wood-burning stove savouring the aroma of burning peat, and enjoy a menu of local produce, simply prepared, whether it's fresh haddock in crispy batter with chips and homemade tartare sauce or Applecross estate venison on a bed of creamy mash with fresh vegetables.

A combination of great staff, excellent food and a really special location make this the Walled Garden my favorite restaurant of all time.

I count myself lucky to live in Applecross and have access to such fantastic food and surroundings. I married my wife Linda at the Walled Garden and have watched the place grow through the hard work of all that work there. Great food, great folk, great place.

awesome place to hang out all day drinking great coffee and eating great grub. ive got a right fussy eating habit abd they're always great at catering for me. very fantabulously wonderful place!

I run a B and B in Applecross. My guests always return enthusing about the good time they have had at The Walled Garden. The food is excellent in a beautiful setting but a comment often repeated is " such good value compared to other places and very reasonably priced wine" Well done John, Elaine and your fantastic team you certainly make me and my guests happy.

The garden is the ideal, peaceful setting to enjoy local food. The Walled Garden do everything well, with fresh veg and herbs from the garden and a fanfare of local seafood. During the day their Bistro serves really tasty light meals and snacks. Weekend evenings are more formal food, where the care and attention to detail is outstanding. Local food never tasted so good.
