Philippa James has always been enthusiastic about cooking. Even as a child she experimented with some early ‘Vicar of Dibley’ style experimental sessions in the family kitchen! She has recently opened a cookery school where she works with clients to tailor-make cookery courses around their individual requirements. She can accommodate 4 to 6 people at a time and can demonstrate a wide range of cookery skills, from complete beginners, to accomplished cooks. Philippa also sells a large variety of her own produce at farmers’ markets including a range of home made preserves in a number of varieties, including Damson & Port, Strawberry & Cointreau and Raspberry & Champagne. She also produces her own Mackerel Paté with home-grown horseradish and vodka. The photographs include a picture of children at a local school where Philippa has been running a cookery course for mothers. On the final week of the course, the children came along try the food that their mothers had prepared. The picture shows the children enjoying 'seconds' of Philippa's chocolate sponge pudding and minty 'Shrek' custard. She is keen to show food lovers how to make wholesome dishes from locally sourced ingredients within minutes!
