Forman & Field offers a gourmet food mail order service, with products ranging from fish and meat, through to deli items, cheeses, cakes and preserves. From its shared premises with 100 year old parent company, H. Forman & Sons, Forman & Field sources produce from small-scale British producers throughout the country who appreciate the value of fresh, seasonal produce. Products are diverse, but whether they be rare breed meats, exotic chutneys, or indulgent gâteaux, all are hand made using seasonal, natural ingredients. As well as bringing items in from the 40 odd suppliers in their network, Forman also prepares its own smoked fish, and its kitchen makes top quality ready meals, from filling Irish stews to light salmon pâtés.

I have used Forman & Field for the past 4 years, and although their food is more expensive, their quality is second to none. I echo previous sentiments, the smoked salmon and various smoked fishs are truly superb, meat is tremendous, pies and other hams and cured meats are really scrummy. They certainly deserve to win the Local Food Hero 2007 title.

All the products I have tried have been wonderful this includes their 3 bird roast, pies, fish dishes, desserts, cheeses and many other dishes. These make the centre pieces of a meal and are delicious. The staff give a personal service and I have never had a problems with deliver. Its lovely to get personal service and quality via the phone or the internet.

My best discovery of 2006 was Forman and Field, good quality produce, fairly priced, well packed and delivered on time. If I'm having a dinner party for six and want something really different like a stuffed venison joint or sitting in front of the TV spoiling myself with hand made choc's this is the place where there is always something to take your fancy. The chutneys and Jams are good too. Highly recomended. Nad2

I work for Forman & Field and i'm not going to try to hide it! The produce sold is genuinely really the best available and it is all handled with the utmost care. It's all produced in the British Isles, keeping down food miles and everything is made to order so it couldn't be fresher. The prices may be higher than the supermarkets but they are fair to the producers and you get what you pay for, it's as simple as that. Vote Formans!
