Superb local produce at sensible prices with additional imports of out of season. Wide range of locally sourced preserves, baking, cured and cooked meats etc., all served by very friendly and helpful staff.

Home grown produce, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a wide selection of really good home made jams and preserves. Beats the local supermarket into a cocked hat!

Excellent, fresh produce; friendly and helpful staff; locally produced bread, fruit, icecream etc etc and best of all - at Christmas, going to Knowes and buying the freshest Brussel Sprouts on the stem!

The quality of the produce has always been excellent every time I go but I think what makes Knowes special is that they truly care about making a difference to the way people think about food. They take time over their customers and their values really come across.

Visiting the farm shop at Knowes today there was a tempting selection of fresh Knowes herbs, local asparagus and fresh wild garlic amongst the vast basket of good qualityfruitand vegon sale. The helpful recipes sheets gave even the least confident cook the keys to the larder! There was a tasting of bread and rolls from the local organic bakery and some tempting "anchor biscuits" being sold to raise money for a newlocal lifeboat which wassadly wrecked in the recent storms. Pleasure without guilt in buying some of these. Another happy day on the farm. Bigtum 23.5.08

The extraordinary care taken to ensure the produce is fresh (and local) brings us back again and again. The service(s) (such as keeping the fantastic free range eggs for you) are everytihing you'd ever want from a local farm shop. Organic, local grown ... and with well researched 'guests'; like Orkney Black Pudding ...... yummmmmmmmmmmmm!!

Great shop, seasonal produce, wonderful pickles, preserves, delicious baking, everything is at its very best. Really welcoming staff and children can feed the chickens and meet the scarecrow family in the herb garden. A true local hero supporting national and local producers of top quality products!

Superb all year round fresh home grown produce plus a large selection of 'delicatessan' items together with bakery and home made ready meals. Great friendly atmosphere. Our local - but fast becoming a 'must visit' for friends who come to stay.
