What is Wedge?
The Wedge Card is a new card that will allow you to take advantage of discounts and special offers from hundreds of local shops and independent businesses. The Wedge Card aims to re-vitalise local communities by offering an affinity scheme to customers using local shops and services. Initially launched in Central London it will be spreading across the city throughout the year.
What are the benefits?
You'll find a range of discounts and deals, exclusive to Wedge Card members in your local shops, including many food shops. Search the Wedge Card database to find out which shops are using it, and look out for the Wedge Card symbol on many outlets in Local Food Hero directory.
How much does it cost?
Signing up for Wedge costs £20 and is valid for one year and 25%-50% of the price of each card bought goes directly to charity projects in the local area.
Where can I buy a card?
Wedge Traders are selling the card in their shops, or you can buy a card online at wedgecard.co.uk
Why has Wedge Card been created?
Diana Bird and her father John Bird, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Big Issue, set up the Wedge Card with daughter in a bid to keep local businesses at the heart of the community.
