Cooking with Daisy
Helpful Tools
All the recipes have been donated by parents and celebrities including Nigella Lawson, Antony Worrall Thompson, Delia Smith and Nigel Slater. Each dish has been created so that children can get involved, giving them a more engaging experience with food.
Thoughtful nutritional advice accompanies every recipe, however, fun is the key component. Think minimal effort and massive appreciation, such as the sausage and mash based dish, Hedgehog, which uses mash for the body with poked in chipolata sausages for the spikes. Cornflake Fish Fingers is also a winner as little hands can crush up the cornflakes, which are then used to coat pieces of fresh fish.
The section devoted to chicken is packed with sure fire favourites including Honey and Mustard Chicken and Homemade Chicken Nuggets. But do not fear these recipes cater for parents as well as children. We particularly liked Cheat's Baked Alaska and Frozen Pea Soup.
At just £10, with all profits going to charity, this is the perfect book for inspiration eating.
