Salvatore won Chevalier l'Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne 1992, the Campari Bartender of the Year 1993, the Chevalerie du Verre Galant 1993 and the Lea & Perrins International Healthy Cocktail Competition 1995.

With such a list of accolades he made a name for himself as a martini guru at the Lanesborough Hotel in Park Lane. He has gone on to open Salvatore at 50, a private members club built on his reputation.
