Elisabeth Luard
Elisabeth Luard is a respected food writer who specialises in authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
As a child, English-born Elisabeth developed a love of food from her time spent in South America and Europe. Her travels have continued to influence her passion, and in the early 1970s she moved with her family to Spain. Here she taught herself to cook using Elizabeth David and Jane Grigson's books and knowledge gleaned from locals about the regional cuisine.
Elisabeth has now published many books on traditional food from around the world. She won the Glenfiddich best cookery writer award in 2007 for her work in “The Oldie”.
