Francesco Mazzei
As a typical young Italian, Francesco was always to be found in the kitchen cooking with his mother, making their own olive oil, tomato sauce, salami and bread. Moving to Rome in 1992 the young chef prepared classic Italian and French cuisine at The Grand Hotel di Roma before moving to London in 1996, where he took up the position of Sous Chef at The Dorchester. After working at several other restaurants, he eventually openened his own - L’ANIMA in June 2008. L'Anima is Italian for 'soul' and has won a host of awards for its contemporary Italian cuisine.
