You will be able to consume the dishes that you prepare and at the end you will be given a file of the recipes and techniques you have picked up. You will also receive a 10% discount when booking accommodation and two glasses of Champagne plus a bottle of wine when making a dinner reservation at the restaurant.

The Experience
Arrive at The New Angel at around 9am. After a quick introduction and coffee with your fellow students you will be demonstrated a dish or skill. You will then have the chance to master and sample the dish. This structure will be followed on several dishes throughout the morning, one of which you will consume on the top table for your lunch while admiring the view of beautiful River Dart.

The afternoon is more relaxed; sit back with a glass on wine while watching more intricate dishes being prepared by the head chef. The following day it's back to the classroom to continue with the course. Again teaching will combine demonstrations and one-to-one tuition in relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You will be able to consume the delicious dishes that you prepare. At the end of the day you will be given a file of the recipes and techniques you have picked up. The course finishes at around 3.30pm each day.

You will also receive a 10% discount when booking accommodation and two glasses of Champagne plus a bottle of wine (chosen by the restaurant) when making a dinner reservation at the restaurant. Even if you are a complete novice in the kitchen or a budding chef you are sure to get plenty out of this course.

Vital Information
The New Angel was awarded AA Restaurant of the Year in 2006 and has one Michelin star. On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months for a two day course at The New Angel Cookery School. You are then free to contact the school to book a date for your course.

Minimum age is 18. Aprons will be provided but please wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes. Please note that John Burton Race does not personally host the courses and his attendance cannot be guaranteed.
