Matt Dawson
England's most capped scrum half has retired from rugby, giving him plenty of time to show off his skills in the kitchen.
Regarded as one of the more outspoken players, Matt is a favourite with the BBC’s rugby coverage and has had substantial experience in written journalism. His position as captain since 2004 on ‘A Question of Sport’ has elevated him from a well-known rugby player to a national TV personality. In 2006 he took part in the BBC’s ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ and won.
Matt then put on his dancing shoes to become the runner up in the BBC’s primetime show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, which attracted over 12 million viewers per show.
Matt has further pursued his love for food by filming shows such as Mitch and Matt’s big fish, Real Family Cook Off, Monster Munchies and Matt and Allegra's Big Farm.
