Born and brought up in Kolkata, India, Mallika Basu now lives in London and juggles marriage, family, a high-flying career and an active social life, yet somehow finds time to indulge her passion for cooking.

Inspired from her popular blog, her first book, Miss Masala, Real Indian Cooking for Busy Living, reveals Mallika’s secrets for cooking gorgeous Indian food for those that have little time to spare.
