Catherine Fulvio
Making everyday exceptional in the kitchen, mother of two Catherine Fulvio has the ability to create doable and delicious recipes to be enjoyed by friends and family for all occasions.
Growing up on a working farm in Ireland, Catherine has a strong connection with food and the land. She is now an award-winning author, TV Chef, cookery tutor and proprietor of Ballyknocken House & Cookery School in Co. Wicklow in Ireland.
Following the success of her first cookbook, Catherine’s Italian Kitchen, and two TV series, Catherine’s Italian Kitchen and Catherine’s Roman Holiday, she is now a household name and one of Ireland’s top television culinary stars.
Catherine knows how good food brings family and friends together and in her recently released cookbook and latest TV series, “Catherine’s Family Kitchen”, she returns to her Irish roots. Her style of cooking is modern Irish, with an emphasis on fresh quality ingredient for family entertaining and her recipes are both delicious and do-able.
Catherine's food philosophy is “field to fork” and she puts huge emphasis on provenance. Catherine only uses the best of local and seasonal produce in her Guesthouse and Cookery School often using Ballyknocken’s own herbs, vegetables and fruit.
Catherine’s success reaches far flung shores with TV appearances including America’s number one morning show, NBCs Today Show and Market Kitchen in the UK. Her series has been aired in over 11 countries including UK, France, Australia and New Zealand and is currently shown on AerLingus flights. She is also a regular on Ireland’s popular daily show, Four Live, and on Radio One’s Today with PK.
Catherine continues to live and work in Ireland and is third generation at Ballyknocken House where she tends her farm, herb and vegetable gardens and runs her award-winning cookery school and four star bed and breakfast. She is also a doting mother of two young children, Charlotte (9) and Rowan (8).
