Stephen Terry
Since starting his career, Stephen Terry has worked with some of the world’s greatest chefs, including Marco Pierre White, Alain Passard, Michele Roux Jr. and Nick Nairn.
At the age of 25, whilst Terry opened London’s Canteen for White and Michael Caines, it was awarded its first Michelin star.
Currently, he owns and operates The Hardwick, a country gastro pub in Abergavenny, Wales.
Despite his star-studded beginnings, Terry describes his pub cooking as an "honest, simple approach. It’s Ronseal cooking – it does what it says on the menu. It’s not intimidating, it’s understandable language. Brits don’t like making fools of themselves."
"Our philosophy is simple and honest," he adds. "We source, cook and serve to the best of our abilities at all times."
Terry thrives on seasonal produce – his favourite season is spring as he loves peas, beans and asparagus.
