Annabel Karmel
Advocate of healthy eating for children, Annabel Karmel MBE is a best selling author and mother of three.
She was inspired to write after her first child Natasha died from a rare viral disease aged just three months. Although the illness was not diet related, the experience made Annabel determined to give her second child the best possible start in life and she spent two years researching nutrition and development.
Her first and definitive book, The Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner, written in 1991, has become a worldwide authoritative guide. Since her first publication she has written a further 13 books and regularly writes for National newspapers and food guides. Annabel also makes regular television and radio appearences.
Annabel was awarded an MBE in June 2006 in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for her outstanding work in the field of child nutrition.
