Nigel Haworth
Nigel Haworth believes in staying true to his northern roots and regularly dishes up proper Lancashire born recipes.
Born in Accrington, Nigel headed to Switzerland after graduating from catering college and found himself impressed with the Swiss standard of cooking. Nigel returned to England totally disillusioned by restaurants and catering in the Lancashire region and decided to become a culinary lecturer.
After 18 months of teaching, he became head chef and managing director at Northcote Manor. In 1996 the restaurant was rewarded with a Michelin Star, an award which it has retained to present date.
When not in the kitchen Nigel likes to work closely with local growers, farmers and producers to help develop and perfect their product to the highest of standards.
