Tom Aikens
Tom Aikens has the reputation as one of the most exciting young chefs in the UK.
He has worked at various Michelin-starred restaurants throughout London, including Pied à Terre and under Pierre Koffman at La Tante Claire.
He then spent a year gaining more Michelin experience at three star level in France including with Joel Robuchon in Paris.
Returning to London in 1996, he re-joined Pied à Terre as head chef and co-proprietor, becoming the youngest chef to earn a second Michelin star at the age of 26. Tom left the restaurant after a dispute and spent the following year as head chef at La Tante Claire.
He opened Tom Aikens restaurant in 2003 which has since won a Michelin star. His second, more informal restaurant, Tom's Kitchen, was launched in October 2006, along with his first cookbook.
