Jimmy Doherty
Having turned his back on city life to set up a farm, Jimmy Doherty has spent the past few years pouring his energy into sustainable farming.
Jimmy has filmed three series of 'Jimmy's Farm', chronicling his roller coaster journey setting up a rare breed pig farm in Suffolk. He is a strong proponent of traditional farming methods and a more natural and sustainable way of life
A graduate in zoology and entomology (the study of insects), Jimmy has always been passionate about the great outdoors. After spending a number of years doing voluntary work at the Natural History Museum, he decided to give up city life and live his dream of running a farm generating high quality produce.
Jimmy has written two books, 'On the Farm', his story of setting up the Suffolk pig farm, and 'A Taste of the Country' which has recipes for traditional British farmhouse dishes.
