Nell Nelson

Nell Nelson is a food writer and TV presenter. Based in Edinburgh, she returned to Scotland a few years ago, after a 10-year stint in Hong Kong, and travels through Asia.

Nell's passions are food and cycling and she frequently combines both. She has eaten and cycled her way round Hong Kong, Cambodia, China, India, Korea, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

While working in Hong Kong, she regularly wrote a food column for the South China Morning Post and edited Asian Home Gourmet magazine, as well as making contributions to many other print and online publications.

Nell has contributed to a number of books. She published a cookbook called Eat Cook Hong Kong in 2002, as well as editing Cooking up a Dragon, which contains recipes from a wide variety of Hong Kong food lovers - from lawyers to taxi drivers. And in 2003, she acted as recipe coordinator and food stylist for The Cookbook, Mandarin Oriental.

Nell's latest venture is The Woman Who Ate Scotland, a TV programme which follows her culinary exploration of Scotland by bike.
