Market Kitchen Showdown

maz 501 - What has appearing presentable got to do with got to do with having a profound, universal knowledge of food? Have you read TPB's book 'The Year of Eating Dangerously?'

TPB may not be the most suave presenter, like MF but his nails are clean and he certainly makes up for lack of sartorial elegance with his PASSION for food! Do you actually listen to what he says ....?

In reality I think TPB has been more assertive since the summer break. Though always the gentleman, he now defends his opinions vigorously with co-presenters.

Regarding his father being a military man; have you not heard of the psychological theory of traits missing a generation?

Incidentally, TPB distressed denin jacket is probably deliberately made so by a designer and thus cost a fortune!

Must dash my corsets need adjusting before afternoon tea!

Rich and Boozy Christmas Pudding

Help!!

I have recently changed to an Induction Oven but find tonight, I have't got a stainless steel pan large enough to take the 2pt/1.2l Christmas Pudding! The pudding mix has already been sitting around for 2 days so I need to get on with it...

The recipe suggests steaming for 8hrs! Since I haven't the right size pan, I thought of putting the pudding in the oven, in an old preserving pan, to simmer in water.

Do you think this might work? If so, on what temperature do I put the oven?
