I was deeply upset when i watched this programme, now i know some will say that these people are helping the panda's.. but to me it was pretty clear that they are doing more harm than good,The breeding Programme they do is brilliant! but what isnt good is the fact they they whip the newborn's away from there mother almost instantly and then hand rear them...I mean how is it possible for them Panda's to be released into the wild after recieveing so much human contact? I just dont understand how these people think that they are helping by babying them, I did notice that the twins got swapped now i do agree with that a little bit as it seems that a mother tends to favour one baby rather than them both and in most cases only one baby will survive so maybe swapping them is a good idea partly but still this means that both babies get used to human contact and in the cases of the twins,When the vets finally give them back to there mother baby number 2 clung to its mother and baby number 1 wasnt interested and prefered to go near the human.
Anyway it was a interesting programme but given im so sensitive this sort of thing did deeply upset me, just wondred what everyone else's view's on it are? and if i missed something that justify's this type of thing?
