Fools Rush In
Matthew Perry as a smart-lipped but slightly hapless New Yorker? OK, so this delightful rom-com has him as someone not entirely dissimilar to Chandler from Friends. But hey, he's playing to his strengths - and that's what makes the film work so well.
Perry is sent from the Big Apple to Las Vegas to oversee a construction project, and ends up having a one night stand with a feisty Latino played by Salma Hayek. She falls pregnant, so Perry does the decent, terrifying thing and proposes to her.
It's only after all this that their courtship begins, and they go through the whole troublesome process of actually getting to know each other. Families and cultures duly collide, and speaking of families - look out for the guy playing Perry's dad. He actually is Perry's dad, don't you know.
