Ocean Odyssey
The amazing life journey of an 80-year-old, 45-ton bull whale and family at the bottom of the Atlantic and Pacific Cceans...
Prepare to dive deep into the oceans as we take you on a fantastic, unforgettable ride into the depths.
First up is this production by the Walking With... team, in which the latest CGI graphics and live action footage are used to explore one of the last great unexplored landscapes on Earth through the eyes of the world's largest predator, the sperm whale.
Following the life journey of an 80-year-old, 45-ton bull whale, we take in the spectacular sights at the bottom of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans as he and his family fend off an attack by a pod of orca whales and does battle with a colossal squid.
As we dive over two kilometres below the surface the landscape of the deep comes vividly to life, with the impossibly deep canyons, underwater volcanoes and the highest and longest mountain ranges on Earth, home to black dragonfish that cast an eerie red glow and jellyfish shaped like giant footballs.
Through our rollercoaster journey, we discover how over 80 years the seas have changed beyond recognition, a warning to us all about the sensitive nature of the sea.
