Neil Cole ponders World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb's majesterial display at Rally Norway. With a thrilling fight in the frozen fjords having come to an icy end is there any stopping Loeb for round 3 in Cyprus? Dave will be there for the big Cypriot thaw, where the rugged battle between man and machine continues.

... but but but there is the weekly "Access All Areas" shows which cover ALL that - full highlights, pWRC jWRC etc etc - in fact they've maxed that show by removing Neil from it...! I agree the random celeb thing is a bit *rolls eyes* BUT the show works, and people are watching rallying again! The old ITV coverage was deathly boring, and shed 100s of thousands of viewers
roger_roger78 - you have supported my argument without even knowing it. In a 1 hour highlight program there was 30 minutes of coverage!! That is exactly what i was getting at. What was happening for the other 30mins? Z-list celebs on skidpans or Shane from Boyzone. Its advertised as a rally highlights program and not a Boyzone chat show. Surely they must have other coverage they can show - top privateers or other less powerful classes. I support DAVE for showing the WRC on TV but why do they have to make it look like a trailer for Red Dwarf?
I totally disagree with the moaning about this show - there was well over 30 minutes of actual rally highlights in the Norway WRC show - i went back and watched it again because my wife missed it. She loves it, and has hated my motorsports habits in the past. Having followed the rally action online over the weekend, it was the perfect way to get the highlights + entertainment! Jamie1968 - We all know we can get onboards & pure action elsewhere, so lets support Dave trying to re-build the popularity of rallying by giving it reasonable scheduling & a telly-friendly face.
help i missed the Rally Ireland coverage on dave are you going to be showing it again if so where, is that the highlights on sunday by any chance? oh and keep up the good work, keep rallying on the box......
Dear DAVE On sunday 15th Feb I tuned into DAVE hoping to see WRC Rally Norway. To my disappointment the program appeared to be an hour long trailer for Red Dwarf interspersed with the odd Rally Norway highlight here and there. I even tuned into DAVE+1 just to make sure I hadnt been watching the wrong program and to my amazment I hadnt!! Rally Ireland coverage was bad enough having to look at Shane from Boyzone but an hour of plugging Red Dwarf was just not on. I tuned in to watch rallying highlights and not Robert Lllewellyn have skid-pan lessons on ice with some woman whom nobody had a clue who she was. Surely there was more coverage DAVE could have shown of the leaders or even some of the top20 entrants rather than shamelessly plugging Red Dwarf. Why can we not see footage of the actual cars rather than 'virtual spectator'?? I'm quite sure the majority, if not all of the viewing audience would rather see the rally cars and drivers themselves and not z-list celebs and virtual spectators. Please please no more plugs and more rallying
