School's Out with Danny Wallace

How much do you remember from Double Maths or Double History? Was school basically a complete waste of time? A roster of celebs will discover the truth in School's Out – the quiz show that will reveal just how pig ignorant they've become since sitting their exams.

Danny Wallace is a disgusting overachiever who'd arouse hatred and jealousy if he wasn't such a nice guy. To give you a brief summary of his conquests to date: in his early teens he wrote computer games reviews for national magazines, by 22 he was the BBC's youngest producer, and he's had a hand in creating hit shows like Dead Ringers and The Mighty Boosh.

On top of that, Jim Carrey is playing Danny in a film based on his book Yes Man. Oh, Danny's also been a cult leader, having amassed over 8,000 followers after simply placing an ad reading "Join Me!" in a classifieds paper. (Luckily, Danny didn't make them conduct weird rites, worship comets or have sex with each other. He made them commit "random acts of kindness" instead.)

So, as we say, he's an overachiever. But a tremendously likeable one, as you'll see in School's Out.

Pythagoras' Theorem, chemical equations, the Battle of Hastings, the ins and outs of To Kill a Mockingbird... there's no end of stuff most of us have completely forgotten since the heady days of high school.

But now, a gaggle of brave celebs have agreed to see just how much they remember from ye olden days of lunch boxes and Double Maths. And by celebs we mean proper celebs like Richard Hammond and Russell Watson, not that guy you hated from Big Brother Five or Six or whatever.

The celebs are put to the test by Danny, who asks them questions based on what they would have learnt at school. We also get to see their actual school reports, and there'll even be a sexy, painfully unobtainable French teacher to test their O-level language skills. Oh, the nostalgia. The pain.
