And Then You Die - Panellist Profiles

Barrie Stardust's 'star-like' status within the TV industry means he is able to attract fantastic comedy talent to everything he is involved with. So when it was announced that Barrie was making his long-overdue comeback, comedians the length and breadth of the country were hammering down Dave's door - begging to be given the chance to work with their hero.

Unfortunately, there was only space for a select few. Ricky Gervais had to be turned away, as did Bill Bailey and Jimmy Carr whist Peep Show's Mitchell and Webb had to be physically escorted from the Dave studios in tears. It was not a pretty sight.

Thankfully, the talent that did make the cut is top draw. And here they are - a right bunch of jokers.

Jo Caulfield

Jo Caulfield

Star of Radio 4, Jo Caulfield is also a writer for Graham Norton who admits she is so funny that he actually wets himself. She particularly likes writing for Graham Norton because, in Jo's words, it "proves that all those teachers and careers advisors were wrong. Being a fag hag is a career option."

Robin Ince

Robin Ince

Known to many people as the man Ricky Gervais winds up whilst on tour, Robin Ince is also a comedian in his own right (he regularly supports Gervais during one of his many sell out tours). Robin's ambition is to one day sell out his own tour and not be constantly referred to as "the man Ricky Gervais winds up whilst on tour."

Lucy Porter

Lucy Porter

Lucy Porter is a very funny bunny who has toured the country with successful, sell-out shows. Obviously, Robin Ince is very jealous. He was even more jealous when he read one critic's description of Lucy as "The pick of the crop of emerging female comics... Lucy has the elfin charm and killer delivery of a young Felicity Kendal."

Rob Rouse

Rob Rouse

He may look like a bit of a tramp, but Rob Rouse is actually a professional comedian and one of the country's hottest funny men. According to one critic, his "cartoon face and cheeky banter allow him to get away with murder." So don't cross him - your death will go unpunished.

Rufus Hound

Rufus Hound

Nicknamed 'the dog' by nobody at all, Rufus Hound is a big favourite of Richard and Judy (they let him on their show - twice!) You may recognise him as a former presenter of Top of the Pops, although if you're a chap, you'll probably only remember him as the bloke who used to get in the way of Fearne Cotton.

Shazia Mirza

Shazia Mirza

She's featured in The Observer's Top 50 funniest acts in British comedy and has performed all around the country with "laconic one-liners" whilst sticking "the knife into political correctness with hilarious effect." However, Shazia has firmly been put in her place by Barrie Stardust on the political correctness front.
