A people carrier for people who hate dull people carriers. The S-Max is the sexier twin sister of the Ford Galaxy - it'll still carry seven, but sacrifices space for some style.
Strengths: It looks great, but the revelation comes when driving it. Sharp steering points it round bends with all the verve of a hot hatch. Punchy diesels use precious little fuel, and it's great value.
Weaknesses: The sanity of sexifying a people carrier is questioned when trying to stuff seven and their luggage in the back. It's not that big, whereas the Galaxy is.
