Strengths: Wear the badge with pride - this really is an accomplishment. Steers, rides and handles exceptionally well, and even the base Edge comes with air con and cruise control.
Weaknesses: It's a big Ford, which means it'll be worth pennies a couple of years down the line. Which is no bad thing at all if it's you who waited.
