Futoshiki
Did you know Sudoku was actually a US invention called Number Place, before it became popular in Japan under the name Sudoku? Futoshiki, however, is the real deal, hailing direct from the Land of the Rising Sun, where it’s now the second most popular logic puzzle. No prizes for guessing which is first.
Like Sudoku, it’s based on a number grid and doesn’t require any real mathematical skill. 'Greater than' and 'lesser than' (> and <) symbols prompt you to arrange the numbers one to five in rows and columns with no repeats. Futoshiki’s been billed as the next big thing, so make sure you get in on the act now...
