Mock The Week
It's a satirical panel show that somehow manages to be nothing at all like Have I Got News For You.
Series six, new to Dave, welcomes the likes of Stephen K Amos, Ed Byrne, Zoe Lyons, David Mitchell, Adam Hills, Greg Proops, Fred MacAulay, Lauren Lavern and Michael McIntyre. Now that’s what we’re talking about.
If you want to terrify a comedian, go after them with a chainsaw while roaring like a rabid dog. Or, less illegally, ask them to improvise a routine on the spot. Apart from that chainsaw, few things are as scary as improvisation - mainly because few things are as teeth-grindingly difficult. So let us applaud the brave comedic souls who grace Mock The Week. They're expected to dissect, satirise, lampoon and generally warp the affairs of the day on cue, and frankly we doff our cap at their talents.
Created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, who gave us that other great improvisational show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the series features a number of rounds designed to extract as many jokes and jibes as possible from the comedians. Our host is Dara O'Briain, a man who clearly has two many i's in his second name. He can probably justify it cleverly, though, as he's fluent in Irish. In fact, he's won debating championships in his mother tongue. And, being a despicably talented man, he also studied theoretical physics at university.
Regular panellists include cheeky young scamp , Radio 4 comedy veteran Hugh Dennis, Andy Parsons from double act Parsons and Naylor and controversial comic Frankie Boyle whose rise to fame since Mock the Week kicked off has been steady and exceedingly angry. Guests include the likes of Michael McIntyre, Jo Caulfield, David Mitchell, Ed Byrne, Lauren Laverne and Gina Yashere. Oh mother, watch the talent fly.

Great show. Love it. The bold Frankie Boyle is pure mental, superb. Hugh Dennis is funny as anything. And, of course, Dar O'Briain is excellent.

Frankie Boyle and Hugh Dennis are the best. Their brilliant and are 2 of my favourite comedians. Their really funny although Frankie Boyle can be rather dark at times, which makes him even better.

I like this show, its funny and when the news gets depressing, this makes you see the funny side of it. Dara is a great host and jumps a few gags in himself. Frankie Boyle - this guy is hilarious and Scottish as well so gives a great perspective and adds a few gags about Scotland. Andy Parsons - just the sight of him go upt the mic sets the audience off, he is funny being simple minded and his gags come as he says...now... you know he's though some good thing off. Russell Howard - He is great :D, he usually points out the obvious and also too adds in his gags. Hugh Dennis - Funny, very funny, he adds in a few quips and his commentary on earlier shows was funn and between the lines where we would set Frankie Boyle into laughter as he becomes the character. A really good show :D

mock the week is actuall great, ive become slightly obsesssed with it & think its amazing . the punch lines sometimes keep me in laughing fits for days & i always refere to jokes whereever i am. russel howard? what a bloody legend! & as for frankie boyle ! :L omg. the scotsman is a icon too comedy. i do wanna say that russel howards joke on " mr tiddles" in scences we'd like too see, was one of the funniest things ive ever seen (: keep the jokes comming! x

Never miss a show.Got my girlfriend into it too.I wish it was an hour and a half long show with two of everything.and maybe a longer news reel....On the spur one liners are genius. To all the team your comedy is absolute class..:) Keep it rocking.

Great show, just please who ever lines up guest for it dont let Michael MacIntyre back on it, my little toe has more comical relevance than anything in this guy comedy. He has to be the least funny man on television currently in England, everytime he tells a joke I swear i see tumbleweeds rolling across my minds eye... he's just pants!!! Everything else about it is awesome. And Frankie Boyle should have his own show!

favourtie mock the week moment? mine would be and there are alot would have to be unseen sences with adam hills because he is my favourtie guess that has been on, i know that frankie and russell (not including dara) are very funny 2(russell more than frankie but thats only because i have never seen frankie wear any womens clothing before, i wounder if russell took home the french maids outfit and the airhoest one too, to be onist i think russell would have looked better in the airhoestes outfit x x) but adam looks better in fishnet stockings (black) and matching black high hills very sexy x x we want more please x x x x x x x x x x x
