Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry is the king of observational comedy and co-writer of the sitcom that influenced all sitcoms today– Seinfeld. If you’ve not experienced his exceptional wit yet, it’s time to do so.
Jerry was born in Brooklyn, New York. His father owned a sign company.
Jerry Seinfeld is most well known for his world famous sitcom, ‘Seinfeld’. Before this, Jerry performed in comedy clubs all over the USA.
Seinfeld’s comedy is an examination and mockery at the very minutiae of life. The humour comes mostly from the obvious and absurd. He is often mocked for asking ‘What’s the deal with…’
Like Chris Rock, Jerry tried his hand at an open-mic night at ‘Catch a Rising Star’. Soon after, he appeared on a Rodney Dangerfield HBO special. He then made appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Late Night with David Letterman and the Merv Griffin Show.
Seinfeld created The Seinfeld Chronicles with Larry David in 1989. The show was later changed to simply, ‘Seinfeld’. By season 4, it had become the most popular and successful show on American television. Today, it still receives major airplay in syndication.
Since Seinfeld, he wrote and starred in ‘Bee Movie’ and is about to appear on Curb Your Enthusiasm with the rest of the Seinfeld star cast.
