Bleurgh. Well our 50th came and went in a flash, but at least the splitting headache its aftermath left us with had the courtesy to stick around for a good couple of days. Lager, whisky, vodka, gin...an enviable list of drinks. Unfortunately, none of these were actually consumed. Instead, we somehow got tiddled on half a box of chocolate liqueurs leftover from last Christmas and a packet of wine gums. And I’m not even sure they contain any actual wine. Yep, we may be lightweights here at the Dave Weekly, but at least we’re a cheap date. Now form an orderly queue.

We’d only just had time to comb our hair and try in vain to remove the telltale stains from the carpet before it was time for episode 51 and a visit from qualiteeee geezer, Lee Nelson. Now there’s a man who can hold his drink. In fact, he managed to clasp a glass of water in his hand throughout the whole interview without spilling a drop. Lessons were definitely learnt there.

Later, we also had Celia Pacquola in the studio. And no, we don’t mean ‘had’ like that. Come on guys, you’re better than that...well that’s what she said anyway. Ooh, burn. Ok, I’ll stop now. She is very funny though, just like Rob Beckett, who dropped in from being all famous to tell us what it’s like being a Sarf Londoner and trying to act all posh in a feature that, for legal reasons, bears no similarities whatsoever to the plot of My Fair Lady, m’lud.
