But no matter, it’s still provided the tenuous segue needed to reintroduce my much laboured and little loved blogs back to this modest corner of the Internet after an Edinburgh hiatus.

And what a blockbuster lineup we have this week, firstly being joined by American comedy powerhouse duo and bona fide movie stars Tim and Eric, over on British soil to promote their genuine Hollywood film, ‘Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie’. Let me start by saying, if you enjoy farcical silliness, non-sequiturs and two middle-aged men conjuring increasingly outrageous stories purely to amuse each other, you will almost certainly like this movie. You will even more likely enjoy their interview too, which features some of the most joyous and over-extended surrealism I’ve ever had the pleasure of being shoe-horned into. And more Prince Charles than you ever thought possible, even with those ears.

Less fantastical but no less fantastic were Abandoman, making their second appearance on the show after a barnstorming Edinburgh run so ingenious it still has me scratching my head now. Maybe they just gave the audience nits. Whatever their secret, Rob² proved yet again that all they need to hit the comedic high notes are a mic, keyboard and the very loosest of ideas – which fortunately my interviewing technique is abundant in.
