There are some dreadful comedians out there. I mean really bad. Yeah, sure like all art forms it's all a matter of taste etc, but there are 'comics' out there right now where it's just not open to debate. It's usually these people that make you wonder if you could do better. I remember I was watching one such comedian who made me so livid that it finally pushed me to try stand-up comedy myself. And if you've ever thought the same, then why the hell not? But where to begin?

Recently Jongleurs, Britain's most famous chain of comedy clubs, celebrated 25 years since Maria Kempinska opened the first club in Battersea back in 1983 when alternative comedy was exploding in the capital, helping to launch the careers of Harry Enfield, Jack Dee and Graham Norton to name a few.

I've had the pleasure of appearing a couple of times now on Argumental, Dave's own panel show. It's always an enjoyable place to perform because you get a proper chance to talk, to interact and to argue loudly. It's comedians, just guffing off, and then turning on each other. I mean that shit probably writes itself, right?
