Comedy legend John Cleese returns to British TV in Batteries Not Included - an entertaining, informative and downright funny look at the weird and wonderful world of gadgets and gizmos. It proved there's more to the world of electronic devices than PS3s, iPhones and Wiis.

Each episode in the six-part series will feature one celebrity, giving us an insight into their gadget life. They will reveal whether they keep up to date with the latest developments via catalogues and specialist magazines or whether their recent purchases are gathering dust in the garage or the cupboard under the stairs. Celebs opening up their homes include Sue Perkins, Dom Joly, Alex Zane, Mark Durden-Smith, Jason Manford and Danny Wallace.

Each episode also features the legendary John Cleese who uses his own special brand of gadget knowledge to take a closer look at some of the über-gadgets that are either too big and powerful to fit inside a regular home or so sophisticated they're not available to the general public yet.

To find out more, or even shop for some of the fantastic gadgets that feature in Batteries Not Included, visit online gadget retailer Firebox
And thanks to all these great gadget companies who helped us out with some of the gizmos on the show.

Bit of a weird question but does anyone know where you can buy the digestive biscuit holder featured in an episode of batteries not included?

The idea was nice but none of the episodes seemed to flow very well - definitely needs some polishing for next series. I also felt very short changed in that the advertising for the show seemed to suggest it would feature a LOT more John Cleese. More Cleese and more polish please.

Yo, the reading light is rather handy if you're reading in bed, since you can fold it up when you are about to sleep rather than having to lean out of your comfy position to turn a lamp off. You can buy them in Woolies.

Great programme, best of any shown on the commercial repeats channels. My guess is that you got the money to do it because you've sold repeat rights to the BBC, rather like 'BBC 4 on BBC2' - that will scroll their knurd. But (you knew there'd be a but, didn't you?) (1)I've got a mango stoner and it is brilliant. The instructions show clearly how to use it, and it's not the way you did it. (2) I want a Tesla electric car. John Cleese was wrong to criticise the range of 220 miles. How many times a year do you drive more than 220 miles without a long break? And twice the cost of a Porsche for a local runabout seems perfectly reasonable to me.

    Incredible show. :)

Great show being made exclusively by 'Dave' here. Loved the 'invisibility suit' on the latest episode, one would love one of them. Excellently made show with great guests that compliment the ethos and intent of the irreverant theme of the show that is so encompassing of the channel itself perfectly. Keep up the good work and originality of the production as it is certainly a breath of fresh air.
