Southgate Tube Station
An Art Deco style station dating from 1933, built in brick, reinforced concrete and glass. It is a Grade II listed building and retains much of its original decoration. The two escalators have the original column lighting, while bronze panelling is in evidence throughout the station. Why I nominated this site: It's a fine example of the London Underground stations on the Piccadilly Line designed by Charles Holden.
