Carew Castle and Tidal Mill
There has been a building or settlement on the site since the Iron Age. The present building is Elizabethan built by Sir John Perrot, rumored to be the illegitamate son of Henry VIII, who was made Lord Deputy of Ireland in 1584 and a member of the Privy Council. Also home to a bat colony.
