Portmeirion
Built on a peninsula off the coast of Snowdonia by Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 to 1975, Portmeirion is home to beautiful natural scenes and an exquisite pottery.
Clough Williams-Ellis built the town in order to show how 'the development of a naturally beautiful site need not lead to its defilement'. It's a stunning place of natural beauty with wonderful views, and a really great place in UK history, with TV shows past and present used for the location... and of course the famous Portmeirion pottery.
