The Naked Rambler
Tuesday 5th May, 9pm
Stephen Gough, is the latest in a long line of great British eccentrics. Except this time he’s an eccentric who doesn’t wear very many clothes.
Known as The Naked Rambler, naturist Stephen decided to embark on a personal challenge with his (equally naked) girlfriend – they would set out to walk 874 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats, completely naked.
This documentary follows Stephen on his eventful journey, during which he was arrested several times, made court appearances and even served two jail sentences following complaints from members of the public.
Why did he put himself through the freezing temperatures, the blisters, the chafing and the hassles with the police? To promote the virtues of going naked?
Stephen Gough, we salute you. Now go and put some clothes on before you catch your death.
