In Mountain with Griff Rhys Jones, the presenter explores some of the wildest places left in Britain. From the Highlands of Scotland, to Snowdonia, the Pennines and the Lake District, Griff unravels the history of our uplands and evaluates their place in today's Britain. He ends up doing some pretty crazy stuff, including running up Ben Nevis, being pulled by huskies in the Cairngorms and riding pillion on Britain's steepest road. Somewhere along the way he also finds time to climb 15 of the country's toughest peaks. Pictured here is Glen Coe, in the Central Highlands of Scotland. In 1692, 38 members of the MacDonald clan were slaughtered in Glen Coe by government soldiers. The massacre shocked the nation.
