As promised, team leader Jamie did ring back this afternoon to say he had referred the problem to the relevant department at UKTV Drama who in turn confirmed that other people had complained of the same problem. Although Jamie couldn't guess/conjecture what the source of the lost sound was the dept dealing with it were doing their best to find out the cause and solve it.
Well, at least we know they are working on it. My concern is how long will it take? There is another thread on this board with someone pointing out the sound problem in July. It's been 2 months already...

I spoke to UKTV Drama this morning and a helpful sounding team leader called Jamie said he would look into the problem and phone me back in the next couple of days.
I will pass on any info I get.

I've emailed them via the Contact Use link. I received a mail back saying they were passing the details to their transmission team to try and sort it out. Here's hoping... On the advice of someone else I have been trying to watch Dr Who via the +1 hr channel to see if it is any better. I have watched The Leisure Hive so far which was OK, I haven't tried Meglos, Full Circle etc yet but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Positive, I'm going to ring them AGAIN on Monday. I suggest you do the same as it might galvanize them into some sort of action. The phone number is on the "Contact Us" page at the bottom of this page. What are they doing, not transmitting a sufficiently strong signal?? It's not as if I live in the back of beyond...I live in London.

This problem is still continueing with the sound. Thursday morning I had no sound at all.

I turned UK TV Drama on this morning and the problem was still there. I think it's important that we RING IN on Monday and complain or nothing is going to get done. The Taggart 25 year anniversary week was wrecked.

Now I've checked .... all 4 eps of Creature From The Pit are from 1.30am on 19th Sept. By the way Friday 11th is a good day - 9 eps in succession!

I'm pretty sure ep 2 of Creature From The Pit was first shown even before episode 1, and the missing ep 3 comes in about 2 weeks???? WTF? Plus the sound problems still continued yesterday

I've had the same problem on this one. Thought it was my video recorder on the blink at first but other episodes seem OK. My gripe is that earlier this week Episode 1 of 'The Creature from the Pit' was shown followed by the 4 episodes of 'Destiny of the Daleks' and 4 episodes of 'City of Death' then finally came episode 4 of 'The Creature of the Pit'. So what happened to episodes 2 and 3. I think it's about time classic Who was brought back to a respectable hour.

Yea I've had sound drop outs on Dr Who on 3 or 4 mornings. The picture is fine but the sound cuts in and out sometimes for quite long periods.
I've been videoing them because they're on so early to watch later.
This is very anoying as its the best TV show in the universe !

achook, I've rung UK Drama for the 3rd time this morning about this! Once about 10 days ago, 2nd 3 days ago and today. The problem is there in the morning, it's there at night and it's there when I've been videoing the Taggarts for their so called 25 year special week! Please give them a ring so they know it's not just me (somebody else did write about this on a thread here last week as welL).
The first person I spoke to 10 days ago did confirm they had a problem with this but "were fixing it"...well they haven't!
