you can get the books through amazon, as yet they aren't available through british bookstores.

ideally you do need to read them in the order in which they are written

the series is very different, the books are much darker than the show and the characters a little harder. julia appears infrequently in the books and is very different but i love the books too.

does anyone read the Murdoch Mysteries books?
iv seen both series and i am a overly massive fan, and want to read th books, while im waiting for series 3, but i have no idea where to start, or does it not matter? also do the books run with the series, or are they stand alone?

please help! mega confused!

no news as yet on the series 2 dvd release but series three has only just started shooting so i'm guessing it will start showing early next year

no-one has announced a release date for series 2 dvds, can't come soon enough for many of us

when will the 2 series be availabe

the Murdoch mysteries movies of the week with Peter Outerbridge are availble on dvd but only for region 1 (USA & Canada) but they will ply on a computer or if you have a multi region dvd player. you cn order them trouh Amazon.

Multi region dvd players are fairly cheap over here, around £35.00 from Comet or Currys. hope this helps
